Deputy Minister of Resettlement
It is my pleasure to write a message to mark this important occasion of launching the new web-site of this Ministry to the standard required by ICTA. This could be considered as a very important and timely requirement.
It is the responsibility of all Ministries and Government Departments to implement E-Government policy introduced by the Government of Sri Lanka to expand the IT usage in their respective institutions, since application of IT in Public Sector Institutions is a mandatory requirement prescribed in the “Mahinda Chinthana”.
Advanced usage of IT in Government institutions will facilitate easy and rapid storage & dissemination of important data/ information. As a result, members of the general public will be able to get speedy and quality service at their convenience.
I take this opportunity to offer my sincere gratitude to the Secretary of our Ministry and all the other supporting staff who labored very much to make this endeavor a success.
