In realization of the Mahinda Chinthana Way Forward, ensuring of dignified resettlement of all displaced persons in their original places due to conflicts prevailed in last three decades of North and East Sri Lanka has become a paramount task of the Ministry of Resettlement. Nearly one million persons were displaced due to terrorism. Hence, it is a gigantic responsibility of this Ministry to resettle those affected population in their original lands subsequent to the wiping out of the terrorism in the country. more..
